Yemeni treasure

It should not be that difficult to figure out Saudi Arabia and its Western backers’ actual interest in Yemen, should it?

Once upon a time, Yemen’s main income source consisted of its crude oil, gas reserves, and fishing industry. Since the Saudi Arabia-led coalition intervention, this has changed hands. The proceeds go to the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, UAE. The fishery industry has been widely destroyed; the fish docks and marketplaces are converted into military bases for the coalition forces. On top of this, the coalition forces aligned with British Marines time and again kidnap Yemeni fishermen, who just try to make ends meet.
